Its important to be aware of government benefits and grants all times in case you need some someday.

When the economic recession was announced in our country, I got really scared because I knew so many people were going to be rendered jobless. What I did not expect was that I could be among the people who were going to be applying for unemployment benefits close to three years. My boss called my three colleagues and I in his office that morning and gave us our termination letters, something none of us had seen coming. Fortunately, I had visited benefits agency southend office earlier that week to inquire about my dad’s retirement benefits and I had a chance to learn a little about the available unemployment benefits. I had to apply for the benefits fast because I had a family to feed and to provide for. I did all my inquires and applications online because these agencies had really upgraded their services to suit the modern customer. Getting unemployment benefits per week ensured that I was able to pay for all my family’s bills on time. I also did casual jobs in town to supplement my wife’s salary and the benefits I was receiving. It was a good thing the government had come in to replace part of our salaries after we lost our jobs because without these benefits, several families would have started to death. I stayed out of work for more that two years until my friend advised me to apply for some government educational grants which enabled me to go back to college to advance my studies. After college, I got another job immediately. If I knew about these grants earlier I would have got a job earlier enough, but thank God I am now in a better job.
